The Republic Trooper is the main bulk force of the Grand Army of the Republic. They use powerful blasters from basic strong pistols, to assault riffles, even powerful heavy weapons. All troopers wear assault armor according to their rank, but once they are a certain rank they can customize the colors and patterns on it. Troopers normally fight in squads or large groups but sometimes their jobs require smaller groups to accomplish them, and most of the time they accompany Jedi as their commanders and generals.
Rank 1: Cadet
All troopers who begin their training on Ord Mantell start at the rank of cadet and work their way up. At this rank they are little more than Shinies by what the more experienced troopers call them since their simple armor is new and not scuffed up. They can hold simple pistols and small blaster riffles as their main weapon. Here they train planet side and do mission requests from the training captain.
Requirements to rank up to Graduate:
You must have RPed as a Cadet for 75 posts.
You must have been a Cadet for 2 months.
You must have completed 2 missions with your Cadet squad.
Rank 2: Trooper Graduate
The Cadet has finally passed his basic training and now is full-fledge trooper marching straight into battle but still to fresh off the transport as they say and must wait on the planet before they can be shipped off to aid in the war effort by a request. A graduate must wait until they are called upon by officers before they can board a ship off world. They can take on more dangerous missions either alone or with other fellow troopers until that time, and they can even be asked to help train new cadets and pass on what they have learned when they were like them.
Requirements to rank up to Captain:
You must have RPed as a Graduate for 200 posts.
You must have completed 3 missions alone or with a group of troopers.
You must have RPed as a Graduate for 2 months.
You must pass on your Graduate knowledge to one Cadet.
Rank 3: Captain
You have reached an actual rank amoung the Grand Army and can command a small batalion of troops and lead them on some of the more complicated missions that are key to the defense of Republic Space. You can customize the color and patterns on your armor and even name a squad that you command that can be friends or NPCs with a staff's approval. Just as well at this rank you can be assigned a Jedi Knight or higher to be there right hand or their second in command, you will be chosen by one or you will be given one.
Requirements to rank up to Commander:
You must have RPed as a Captain for 200 posts.
You must have completed 3 missions with your squad.
You must have RPed as a Captain for 4 months.
You must have accompanied a Jedi on a mission.
Rank 4: Commander
You are a true trooper with real command that you can use to command more than one batalion and continue to fight along side your Jedi General into real danger and important missions. You have much stronger weapons and can journey deep into enemy controlled space and guide your group to victory to further the power of the Republic.
Requirements to earn the rank of Vanguard:
You must have RPed as a Commander for 200 posts.
You must have RPed as a Commander for 4 months.
You must have completed 3 missions all of which must be a success.
Special Rank: Vanguard
Unstoppable and utterly fearless, Vanguards wade into battle wearing advanced heavy armor. They are the first and best line of defense in the Republic military. These steadfast soldiers ignore personal risk, deliberately stepping into the line of fire to divert danger from allies and innocents. Though their tactical role is inherently dangerous, Vanguards have an uncanny survivability due to their expert defensive tactics and the advanced technology at their disposal.
Requirements to earn the rank of Commando:
You must have RPed as a Vanguard for 200 posts.
You must have RPed as a Vanguard for 4 months.
You must have completed 5 missions majority must be a success.
Special Rank: Commando
Trained in advanced assault tactics and weaponry, Commandos charge battlefields with massive blaster cannons, overwhelming their enemies with brute firepower. Whether taking out an enemy bunker with focused fire or driving back an Imperial charge with a hail of concussive bolts, the Commando’s high-powered hardware dominates the scene, laying waste to all unfortunates who fall within its range. Many of the
Republic’s greatest military victories can be credited to the
decisive actions of a Commando in the field.
